A cabinet of solid northern elm, or yumu, serves to frame two formidable copper repousse doors on this design by Robert Kuo for McGuire. The Lantern Armoire features a bold yet delicate lantern pattern reminiscent of folded paper, created using the traditional art of hand-hammering decorative relief into copper. Uninterrupted by pulls or hardware, the touch-latch doors open to reveal ample storage space and drawers. Each cabinet is signed, numbered and dated.
